1-2 Hour Workshop

Earn a Brownie Dancercize Try-It:

Learning Rhythm- For 10-15 minutes practice movements to your favorite music. Make up some of your own moves. 
Make up a dance to your favorite song. Teach the dance to the girls in your troop.
Take turns with other girls in being the leader in your troop.
A Dance Story- Use dance to tell a story.

Step, Stamp, Stomp!- Learn 3 basic tap dance steps
Dance Around the World- Explore dancing from other countries
Lines and Squares- Learn Square dancing or line dancing
Belle of the ball- Learn Ballroom dance steps
Dancing through the decades-Learn about dancing through the era's

Work towards a Senior/Cadette Invitation to the Dance IPP:
(below is an example program that we can help you with, but programs can be tailored to your needs)
Skill Builder:
Select some warm-up exercises to prepare for participation in dance activities

Learn 3 dances from 3 countries in different parts of the world. Learn the history behind these dances. Perform these for people and help them learn the steps.

Choreograph your own dance routine, select the music, and perform the dance for others.

Technology:
Talk with three dancers and find out about the preparations required for their performances and different types of dance shoes.

Service Projects:
Prepare a dance to demonstrate and explain it to others.

We provide the activities and Fun!!! Troop is responsible for providing actual badges.

All workshops can be tailored to fit your troops individual needs and badge requirements. Parents and family are invited to watch the mini-performance at the end of each workshop.  

Troop is welcome to bring refreshments. Studio time to hold short meetings may also be available upon request.
