ACADEMY OF WORLD DANCE N ARTS WINS BIG AT MAJOR DANCE EVENT.

Trip to Showstopper Dance Championships was An Exciting One.

Poway, CA--May 30, 2014--In Anaheim II last weekend, Academy of World Dance n Arts competed against dozens of dance studios from around the state and area for prestigious top honors at Showstopper, the largest Dance Competition in the Country.

Academy of World Dance n Arts received 2 double platinum awards, 17 platinum awards, and 20 gold awards. Congratulations!

Top honors include:

''Mohini'' received 3rd place overall in Teen Performance Large
''Rangelo Mahro Dolna'' received 8th place overall in Junior Performance Large
''Nagara Sang Dhol'' received 1st place overall in Senior Performance Large
''Nacho Re'' received 2nd place overall in Senior Performance Small
Jennifer Robbins received 1st place overall in Adult Performance Solo
Jenna Salvatore received 10th place overall in Junior Performance Solo
''Sweet Dreams'' received 5th place overall in Junior Performance
Duet/Trio
''Harlem'' received 9th place overall in Teen Performance Small
''Tribal Dream'' received 2nd place overall in Adult
Performance Small
''Cups'' received 3rd place overall in Adult Performance Small

Academy of World Dance n Arts Wins Big at the West Coast National Finals.

At the West Coast National Finals held July 18-22, 2012 in Anaheim, CA, Academy of World Dance n Arts competed against dozens of dance studios from around the country and area for prestigious top honors at Showstopper National Finals, the largest Dance Competition in the Country.

The World Dance n Arts Bollywood Performance Troupe, directed by Master Teacher - Ms. Shalini, competed in the Folkloric division and brought home a 1st Place Platinum award, a 1st Place Double Platinum award, as well as two overall competition awards- 1st Place Overall and 2nd Place Overall. The WDA Bollywood Performance Troupe attends multiple competitions and performs at many community events throughout the year.

Congratulations to all our WDA dancers who competed at the Thunderstruck Competition in Coronado on Sunday, March 4th.

World Dance n Arts brought home 4 Gold Awards, 6 High Gold Awards, 3 Lighting Gold Awards, 7 High Score Overall Awards and 2 Judges Awards.

Way to go! We are so proud of you all!

Showstopper Competition Fees are due March 1st, 2012.

Competition Routines: Lollipop, Push it, Born This Way, Dog Days, Splish Splash, Big Noise, Mr.Sandman, Sail, Musical Theater, Ballroom, I want Candy, Party Rock, Hot Honey Rag, Look at Me Now.

You may submit payment Online or in studio. The finalized fees are as follows: Groups- $45 Per Person/Per Routine, Solos- $99, Duet/Trio-$43-$62 Per Person. Please mark all payments with dancer's name and routine(s) name. Competition Eligibility is decided by your instructor.

Thunderstruck Competition Dates and Times have been announced. Look for your performance time attached to the WDA monthly newsletter that was sent to all students via email yesterday. Competition Day is Sunday, March 4th. All competitors should arrive no later than 9am at the Coronado Arts Center.

All WDA dancers, friends and family are welcome to attend to support our competitors...spectator entry is free. See you there!
